Last accomplishment: Master Degree in Education March/2014

I have been working as a First Grade Teacher for 10 years now, and everyday, I love it even more! I joined the Spanish Immersion Program and Wilson County Schools two years ago. By living in a new culture, I have grown as a person and as a professional in some many ways. I cannot wait to see what this year holds for me!

I was born in Bogota, Colombia. My primary language is Spanish, I am fluent in English and I will be working on my French very soon. I lived in the States from 2006 to 2008 and that was the time when I truly learnt English. Being immersed in a new culture and a new language 100% was what it made me bilingual. I truly bevelieve in immersion programs, because I am living proof of that.

I have been in Wilson,NC for a little over a year. I come from a big city and living here has made learn to apreciatte the peace of a small town, the friendly wave of people and the casual encounters at the grocery store with friends or people you know from somewhere else. Wilson is a cute little town to live in.

I would love to share this video with you. It is about Colombia, my country!
